A full-bodied woman rises onto the toes of one foot and draws the other leg straight up past her head, holding it in both hands — a vertical split performed with complete ease. The sculpture plays on the contrast between mass and lightness: generous, rounded volumes resolve into a single slender point of support, and the whole figure becomes one continuous upward line.

Seen from the back, the pose reads almost as an abstract form — a flame, or a drop turned skyward. Cast in bronze using the lost-wax method and hand-patinated in deep brown-black, mounted on a round bronze base with a polished edge. Signed by the artist and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity. Made to order — a hand-cast piece rather than a stock object.
