The Dancer
A contemporary figurative bronze of a woman caught mid-turn, risen onto the toes of one foot with the other knee lifted high, one arm curling overhead and the other flung out for balance. The artist renders the female form in full, generous volumes, yet sets all of it on a single small point of contact with the plinth, so the figure seems to spin rather than stand. A near-black patina covers the polished curves, warming to bronze along the hips, shoulders and raised knee, while the hands thin out to fine pointed tips that finish the movement. Mass, rhythm and balance in one turning gesture.
Cast in bronze using the lost-wax method and mounted on an integrated square bronze plinth. Signed by the artist and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity. Made to order — a hand-cast piece rather than a stock object.
